# Ask the AI Guide without an account

> Use the public AI Guide to learn about kombify, and know when to sign in instead

The AI Guide is the quickest way to learn about kombify. You do not need an
account.

## What the AI Guide is for

It answers public questions: what kombify is, which products there are, and
where to find documentation and pricing. It points you to public resources such
as the documentation and the questions and answers page.

## What it cannot do

* It cannot see your setup, your account or your earlier conversations.
* It treats every question as a separate turn. It does not remember the one
  before.
* It is not the place for personal or account questions.

For help with your own setup, sign in to Companion Studio instead. See
[Ask your Companion for help](/apps/ai/ask-your-companion).

## Ask a question

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the AI website">
    Go to `ai.kombify.io`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the Guide">
    Choose **Ask the Guide**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write your question">
    Ask about kombify in general, for example what a product does.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Follow the links">
    Use the links to the documentation or pricing for more detail.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Check that it worked

The Guide answers your question in the same panel. To close it, choose
**Close the Guide**.

## If something goes wrong

1. If the Guide does not open, the page tells you so. Use the documentation or
   the FAQ on the same site instead.
2. If the questions page does not load, try again in a moment.
3. If your question is about your own setup or account, sign in. The Guide
   cannot answer it.
4. Still stuck? Write to [info@kombify.io](mailto:info@kombify.io).
