# A tour of your dashboard

> Find your way around the kombify Cloud dashboard: the left rail, the home page, the Feed and Settings

This page shows you where things are in the dashboard at `app.kombify.io`. You
do not need any technical knowledge.

  account, or may not be shown at all, depending on your plan and on what is
  switched on for you.

## Before you start

[Sign in](/apps/cloud/get-started) so that the dashboard opens at
`app.kombify.io`.

## Steps

  <Step title="Look at the left rail">
    The bar on the left is the rail. It holds the whole navigation. On a phone
    it is hidden behind a menu button at the top; tap the button to open it.
    On a computer you can fold the rail to save space and drag its edge to make
    it wider or narrower.

    You will see these entries:

    * **Home** is your start page.
    * **Monitoring** shows how your homelab runs.
    * **Tools** groups the kombify tools. **Techstack**, **StackKits** and
      **Companion** are there, and **Workpaths** is where you review runs and
      approvals. **Simulate** and **Paperwork** appear only when they are
      available for your account.
    * **Docs** opens this documentation.

  <Step title="Rest the pointer on a tool">
    On a computer, a small card opens next to a tool entry. It lists that
    tool's own things, for example your connected machines under Techstack or
    your recent sessions under Companion. If a list cannot be read, the card
    says so. That is not the same as having nothing yet.

  <Step title="Open Home">
    Home greets you and shows your homelab: a line that tells you how many apps
    answer and how many machines are online, a search field for your apps and
    use cases, and a card for each use case. If you have none yet, choose **Add
    your first use case**.

    Choose **Arrange** to put the use cases you use most first. The first one
    gets the large card. The order is saved on this device only for now.

  <Step title="Check the Feed">
    The bell labelled **Feed** in the rail shows what needs you. Open it to
    read items, mark them read or dismiss them, and **Open Feed** shows the
    full list with the views Active, Unread, Needs you, Resolved and Archive.

  <Step title="Open the account menu">
    At the bottom of the rail, your name opens the account menu with
    **Settings**, **Billing**, the display and language controls and **Sign
    out**. Plans and invoices are covered in
    [Change or cancel your plan](/apps/cloud/plans-and-billing).

  <Step title="Look through Settings">
    Settings has these tabs, in this order:

    | Tab | What it is for |
    | - | - |
    | Account | Your name and e-mail from your sign-in, replaying the introduction, cookie settings, and the request to delete your account |
    | Stack Identity | The name and character that kombify tools show for your stack |
    | Design | Light or dark, and how the dashboard looks. Changes apply only after you choose **Apply** |
    | Feed & Push | What you are told and where |
    | Keys & connections | Your Wallet and API keys |
    | Dashboard | Which tools your dashboard starts with, and where to get the kombify apps |
    | Budgets & quotas | How much of your plan you have used |
    | Domains | Your domains. See [Connect your own domain](/apps/cloud/domains) |
    | AI assistants | What the kombify AI assistants may do in each product |

## Check that it worked

You know your way around when you can open Home, the Feed and Settings
without searching for them.

## Replay the introduction

In **Settings**, **Account**, the section about getting started has buttons to
replay the setup and the introduction whenever you want.

## If something goes wrong

* **A tool entry is missing.** Some tools show only when they are available for
  your account. Your plan decides what you can use; see
  [Plans and billing](/apps/cloud/plans-and-billing).
* **A hover card says a list could not be read.** Wait a moment and move the
  pointer onto the entry again.
* **You are sent back to the login page.** Your session ended. Sign in again;
  see [Sign-in problems and account basics](/apps/cloud/sign-in-and-account).
* **Still stuck.** Write to [info@kombify.io](mailto:info@kombify.io) and say
  which page you were on and when it happened. Never send a password.
