# Applications in the released catalog

> Application choices, add-ons and exclusions in StackKits v0.54.3

This reference covers the [v0.54.3 public release](https://github.com/kombifyio/StackKits/releases/tag/v0.54.3). It complements the generated [use-case catalog](/stackkits/reference/use-case-catalog) with the application choices and optional add-ons that its released modules declare. Start with the linked use-case guide; use [Configure the StackSpec](/guides/stackkits/configure-stack-spec) to change an existing workspace.

An application in this reference is a catalog choice, not a promise that it is selected in your installation. `executable` and `apply-ready` describe the released module contract. They do not certify installation, backup or recovery on your machine. Check [OS compatibility](/stackkits/reference/os-compatibility) and [application delivery compatibility](/stackkits/reference/application-delivery-compatibility) before applying.

The tables name the exact alternative or add-on and module, so you can match them to your generated plan. Add-ons are separate choices. A main application's supporting components are operated with their module, rather than installed one by one. Credentials stay in your own custody; follow the setup actions offered by your installed CLI and never edit generated deployment files.

## Private AI

Private AI workloads, local model serving, and user-facing AI workbench intent.

[Use-case guide](/guides/stackkits/use-cases/personal-ai). The release selects `private-ai` when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

| Choice | Selection | Released module | Compute profiles |
| - | - | - | - |
| `anythingllm` | Main application | `stackkits-anythingllm-runtime` | high, standard |
| `private-ai` | Main application | `stackkits-private-ai-runtime` | high, standard |
| `hermes` | Add-on `ai-assistant` | `stackkits-hermes-runtime` | high, standard |
| `paperclip` | Add-on `ai-control-plane` | `stackkits-paperclip-runtime` | high, standard |
| `docling` | Add-on `ai-documents` | `stackkits-docling-runtime` | high, standard |
| `tika` | Add-on `ai-documents` | `stackkits-tika-runtime` | high, standard |
| `litellm` | Add-on `ai-gateway` | `stackkits-litellm-runtime` | high, standard |

| Declared component | Role | How to read it |
| - | - | - |
| AnythingLLM (`anythingllm`) | alternative / application | Application component of the choices above; follow the use-case guide and review the generated plan. |
| ComfyUI (`comfyui`) | supporting / application | Application component of the choices above; follow the use-case guide and review the generated plan. |
| Docling (`docling`) | supporting / application | Application component of the choices above; follow the use-case guide and review the generated plan. |
| Hermes Agent (`hermes`) | supporting / application | Application component of the choices above; follow the use-case guide and review the generated plan. |
| Ollama (`ollama`) | primary / application | Selected and operated together by `private-ai`; no separate application choice. |
| Open WebUI (`open-webui`) | supporting / application | Selected and operated together by `private-ai`; no separate application choice. |
| SearXNG (`searxng`) | supporting / application | Application component of the choices above; follow the use-case guide and review the generated plan. |
| kombify SpeechKit (`speechkit`) | supporting / application | The server image is an unreleased placeholder; do not treat the executable module declaration as an available server release. |
| Apache Tika (`tika`) | supporting / application | Application component of the choices above; follow the use-case guide and review the generated plan. |

The AI add-ons here are applications selected on your own StackKits host. Their presence does not publish kombify's internal AI services or grant access to hosted providers. Model downloads, provider credentials, accelerator requirements and permissions remain explicit choices.

The released source still pins the optional SpeechKit server to an all-zero placeholder digest. That server is excluded from available application claims until a public image exists. The [SpeechKit product guide](/speechkit/overview) describes its separately released clients.

## Automation

Scheduled and event-driven automations on your own node through kombify Workpaths, a headless engine with a private owner-token API. Runs without a kombify plan.

The kombify Paperwork entry is a recorded connector, not an installable application choice. Euro-Office is the optional `files-office` add-on.

## Game Server

Self-hosted game servers for friends and family through Calagopus (or Pelican or Pterodactyl), with curated Minecraft Java, Paper and Bedrock, Terraria and Valheim profiles.

## Own Mail Server

Your own mail server on a dedicated Cloud node through Stalwart: mailboxes for your domain with SMTP, IMAP and submission. StackKits prints the DNS records you publish; it never changes DNS.

Mailcow is recorded only. Stalwart is the executable mail-server choice. The separate Mail use case supplies Roundcube; selecting a mail client alone does not create a mail server.

## Marketplace

`immich-lite` is the low-profile alternative without smart search. Ente Photos is recorded in the component list but has no executable alternative in this release. The Kiosk, Public Proxy and Power Tools entries are separate optional add-ons; they do not replace Immich.

| Vaultwarden (`vaultwarden`) | primary / application | Application component of the choices above; follow the use-case guide and review the generated plan. |

## Recorded AI choices

The release also records capability alternatives without an installable selection. These do not become shipped applications merely because their names appear in the catalog.

| Recorded choice | Capability | Release limitation |
| - | - | - |
| `llama-cpp` | Inference | Recorded alternative; no executable application choice. |
| `speechkit` | Speech | Waiting for a public server image and release with the audio endpoints. |
| `invokeai` | Image and video | Recorded alternative; no executable application choice. |
| `openbot` | Assistant | Recorded alternative; no executable application choice. |
| `goose` | Agent harness | Recorded desktop/CLI alternative with no self-hostable web surface. |
| `langflow` | Agent control plane | Recorded alternative; no executable application choice. |
| `langfuse` | Model routing and API access | Recorded alternative; its own PostgreSQL and ClickHouse stack is still pending. |

These distinctions come from `capabilities[].default` and `capabilities[].alternative` realization fields, in addition to the component list. They are release exclusions, not instructions to install an internal or unreleased service.

## Kit core and platform services

The release also declares kit-core alternatives. They supply the baseline rather than another end-user application. [Platform services](/stackkits/apps/overview) explains PocketID, TinyAuth, the login gateway, Traefik, optional delivery platforms and the module-only dashboard and diagnostic entries.

| Kit core | Alternative | Module |
| - | - | - |
| `basement-core` | `standalone` | `stackkits-basement-core-runtime` |
| `basement-core` | `standalone-compose` | `stackkits-basement-core-lite-runtime` |
| `basement-core` | `standalone-lite` | `stackkits-basement-core-lite-runtime` |
| `cloud-core` | `standalone` | `stackkits-cloud-core-runtime` |
| `cloud-core` | `standalone-compose` | `stackkits-cloud-core-standalone-runtime` |

## Source and limits

The choices, component kinds, `recorded` exclusions and compute-profile lists come from the v0.54.3 release catalog. The SpeechKit exclusion comes from the [same release's application image contracts](https://github.com/kombifyio/StackKits/blob/721b28cf58d148556aabcc6eec77161fc5a36f8d/foundation/architecture_v2_catalog.cue). A newer module, a private build or a planned application does not extend this release's public availability.
