kombify Point provides local LAN DNS so names such as base.<domain> and auth.<domain> resolve to the StackKits server.

Prerequisites

Use kombify Point only for local DNS zones you control. Public DNS changes belong in your normal DNS provider.

Steps

1

Check the health endpoint

Open the kombify Point row in the Node Hub or check the generated health URL.
2

Point clients at the resolver

Configure your router or client device to use the StackKits server as DNS for the local zone.
3

Test a service name

Resolve base.<domain> from a client device on the LAN, then open the Node Hub.

Verify

  • base.<domain> resolves to the StackKits server LAN IP.
  • Other local service names resolve consistently.
  • Public domains still use your normal upstream resolver.

Next steps

Node Hub

Confirm that generated local names open correctly.

Traefik

Check that resolved hostnames route to the expected services.

Troubleshooting

The DNS service may be healthy, but clients are not using it. Check router DHCP DNS settings or the client resolver configuration.
