kombify can tell you when something needs you, for example a server problem or a decision that is waiting. You decide what reaches you and where.

Before you start

Sign in at app.kombify.io. Security and account notifications are always on and cannot be switched off.

Open the settings

Go to Feed & Push

Open Settings from the account menu at the bottom of the left rail, then choose the Feed & Push tab. You can also use the Feed & Push settings link in the bell menu.

Check where kombify can reach you

The Channels section lists:
  • Push. Alerts on the phone or computer where you turned on notifications in the kombify app. It is set per device.
  • E-mail. Goes to your account address, which the page shows. It is used for urgent items that are still unread after a while and for the topics you switch on.
  • Telegram. A private chat with the kombify bot that sends a short alert with a link back to kombify. You answer in kombify, not in the chat. If the page says “Not available yet”, it is not switched on for you.

Choose Link Telegram

The page prepares a one-time link.

Open Telegram and press Start

Choose Open Telegram, then press Start in the chat. The link works once and shows the time it expires. You can also send the shown command to the bot instead.
The page then shows “Linked since” with the date. Choose Unlink to remove the connection, or New link if the first one expired.

Set quiet hours

Quiet hours hold e-mail and Telegram reminders until the window ends. Security and account alerts are never held. The Feed and push are not affected.

Switch quiet hours on

Turn on Hold e-mail and Telegram reminders.

Choose the times

Set From, Until and your Time zone. Start and end must differ.

Save

Choose Save quiet hours. The page shows “Saved”.

Choose your topics

Below the channels, the topics are grouped, for example Security & account, Incidents & system events, Activity & jobs, Summaries & digests, Product news and Offers & marketing. Marketing offers are off by default. For each topic you tick the channels you want, such as in-app, e-mail or push. Channels that a topic requires show “Required — cannot be changed”. Choose Save preferences. “Unsaved changes” disappears and “Saved” shows.

Check that it worked

Reload the page. Your choices are still there. New items appear in the Feed under the bell.

If something goes wrong

  • “Your channel settings could not be loaded.” Reload the page.
  • “Check the times and the time zone.” Start and end of the quiet hours are the same, or the time zone is missing. Change them and save again.
  • Telegram could not be updated. Try again in a moment, or choose New link.
  • You get no e-mails. Check the address shown under E-mail, your spam folder, and that the topic has the e-mail channel ticked.
  • Still stuck. Write to info@kombify.io.
