Evidence state (2026-09-17, v0.35.0): Development with Gitea is experimental. No automated lifecycle run covers it yet, and runtime evidence is pending.
Development gives your projects private Git repositories on a host you operate. The release catalog calls this use case Developer Platform and delivers it as the optional dev workload.

Before you start

  • Git works over HTTPS only. SSH is not exposed, and no CI runner is installed.
  • Every client needs a DNS name for the Git host and must trust the internal CA certificate of that host.
  • Recovery needs both Gitea volumes, captured while writes are stopped.

Set it up

Follow the Gitea page from an empty owner workspace. Push to a test repository from a real client before you rely on it.
