Evidence state (2026-09-24, v0.41.0): Network is planned. It has no release and no dates, and it does not yet have an entry in the release catalog. This page describes a design direction under review, not something you can install today.
Network is not a use case you can select yet. This page separates what StackKits already sets up for you on any kit from what the team is planning to add as a dedicated use case.

What StackKits already sets up

These are built into Basement Kit and Cloud Kit today. You do not need the Network use case for them, and Network shipping in the future will not change how they work.

Planned design

None of these are installable yet. Network is planned as a use case that adds deliberate device-to-device and site-to-site connectivity plus DNS filtering on top of the baseline above, not as a requirement for reaching your existing StackKits applications.

What to expect

  • Network will not replace the built-in routing, *.home DNS, or optional remote access described above.
  • Selecting Network will not require a VPN client just to open applications you already run.
  • Filtering or connecting devices will need explicit device and destination choices; nothing turns on automatically.
