This reference covers the v0.54.3 public release. It complements the generated use-case catalog with the application choices and optional add-ons that its released modules declare. Start with the linked use-case guide; use Configure the StackSpec to change an existing workspace. An application in this reference is a catalog choice, not a promise that it is selected in your installation. executable and apply-ready describe the released module contract. They do not certify installation, backup or recovery on your machine. Check OS compatibility and application delivery compatibility before applying. The tables name the exact alternative or add-on and module, so you can match them to your generated plan. Add-ons are separate choices. A main application’s supporting components are operated with their module, rather than installed one by one. Credentials stay in your own custody; follow the setup actions offered by your installed CLI and never edit generated deployment files.

Private AI

Private AI workloads, local model serving, and user-facing AI workbench intent. Use-case guide. The release selects private-ai when this use case is enabled without another alternative. The AI add-ons here are applications selected on your own StackKits host. Their presence does not publish kombify’s internal AI services or grant access to hosted providers. Model downloads, provider credentials, accelerator requirements and permissions remain explicit choices. The released source still pins the optional SpeechKit server to an all-zero placeholder digest. That server is excluded from available application claims until a public image exists. The SpeechKit product guide describes its separately released clients.

Automation

Scheduled and event-driven automations on your own node through kombify Workpaths, a headless engine with a private owner-token API. Runs without a kombify plan. Use-case guide. The release selects workpaths when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Developer Platform

Private source control, developer collaboration, and delivery-platform intent. Use-case guide. The release selects gitea when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Documents

Private document ingestion, OCR, indexing and search through Paperless-ngx. Use-case guide. The release selects paperless-ngx when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

File Storage and Documents

Private file storage and sharing: Cloudreve by default, Nextcloud or kombify Paperwork as alternatives, with optional office editing and a document archive. Use-case guide. The release selects cloudreve when this use case is enabled without another alternative. The kombify Paperwork entry is a recorded connector, not an installable application choice. Euro-Office is the optional files-office add-on.

Game Server

Self-hosted game servers for friends and family through Calagopus (or Pelican or Pterodactyl), with curated Minecraft Java, Paper and Bedrock, Terraria and Valheim profiles. Use-case guide. The release selects calagopus when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Private Mail

Private webmail through Roundcube for a mailbox you already have at an external provider. No mail server, DNS or MX record is created. Use-case guide. The release selects roundcube when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Own Mail Server

Your own mail server on a dedicated Cloud node through Stalwart: mailboxes for your domain with SMTP, IMAP and submission. StackKits prints the DNS records you publish; it never changes DNS. Use-case guide. The release selects stalwart when this use case is enabled without another alternative. Mailcow is recorded only. Stalwart is the executable mail-server choice. The separate Mail use case supplies Roundcube; selecting a mail client alone does not create a mail server.

Marketplace

Your own app store for applications you run on your homelab, at home and in the cloud. Use-case guide. The release selects coolify when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Media Library

Private media library and streaming intent for household media collections. Use-case guide. The release selects jellyfin when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Network

Filter DNS for selected clients while preserving the existing local resolver and device DNS choices. Use-case guide. The release selects adguard-home when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Photos and Memories

Family photo and video vault with mobile backup, search, and shared memories. Use-case guide. The release selects immich when this use case is enabled without another alternative. immich-lite is the low-profile alternative without smart search. Ente Photos is recorded in the component list but has no executable alternative in this release. The Kiosk, Public Proxy and Power Tools entries are separate optional add-ons; they do not replace Immich.

Remote Desktop

Private remote desktop and browser-accessible workspace intent. Use-case guide. The release selects guacamole when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Smart Home

Home automation centered on Home Assistant, native product interfaces, and optional local device adjacency. Use-case guide. The release selects home-assistant when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Password Vault

Private password and secure-note vault with owner-controlled lifecycle and recovery. Use-case guide. The release selects vaultwarden when this use case is enabled without another alternative.

Recorded AI choices

The release also records capability alternatives without an installable selection. These do not become shipped applications merely because their names appear in the catalog. These distinctions come from capabilities[].default and capabilities[].alternative realization fields, in addition to the component list. They are release exclusions, not instructions to install an internal or unreleased service.

Kit core and platform services

The release also declares kit-core alternatives. They supply the baseline rather than another end-user application. Platform services explains PocketID, TinyAuth, the login gateway, Traefik, optional delivery platforms and the module-only dashboard and diagnostic entries.

Source and limits

The choices, component kinds, recorded exclusions and compute-profile lists come from the v0.54.3 release catalog. The SpeechKit exclusion comes from the same release’s application image contracts. A newer module, a private build or a planned application does not extend this release’s public availability.
